The Legal Bit
This course is intended to provide you with the knowledge you need to complete the test to become a personal licence holder. It covers all the major topics relating to UK licencing law, responsibilities and penalties for breaching these. It also looks in detail at the issue of age verification including an interactive element to support learning in this area.
In order to obtain your Personal License there are some key steps to take:
Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
Disclosure of convictions and civil immigration penalties and declaration form
Submitting your application to the relevant Local Authority
This can be a daunting and time consuming process. This is where we come in. We do this entire process for you! We are with you from start to finish and take away the hardest and most complicated part of the process! We pay all associated fees as these are included in the purchase price.
Personal License Application
Normally once completing your training and passing your exam you are then left to complete and submit your Personal License Application all by yourself, as well as paying all other associated fees. This is a very important, legitimate step in acquiring your license and should be taken very seriously. We understand this can be an unsettling and often complicated step but, you do not need to worry, we will complete this for you and is included in our full course price!
All you have to do is complete our Personal License Application form which is sent to you when you complete your training.
To complete the application all you need is:
Your passport
Driving license
NI number
Details of your living addresses over the last 5 years
For us to complete this process for you please also send:
2 X passport photographs - both of which must be signed by the applicant and one of which must be endorsed as a true likeness of you by a solicitor or notary, or person of standing in the community or any individual with a professional qualification AND MUST STATE “I certify that this is a true likeness of …..”). 1 copy of your driving license
This information needs to be posted to: APLH Personal Licence Services, 12 Beacon Lane, Heswall, Wirral, CH60 0DD
Then we take care of the rest! We will:
Complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check on your behalf
Complete the Disclosure of convictions and civil immigration penalties and declaration on your behalf
Complete the Personal Licence application on your behalf
You took your exam through us so we automatically hold a copy of your certificate once you pass the exam
Once all relevant documents have been received we will compile your application, this will then be sent to you to electronically sign through DocuSign - you review and sign
Once reviewed and signed by you, we then deal with submitting your application to the relevant Local Authority
